Patented Design

It started with the thought... what if you could have the full visibility of a visor, be able to protect your lower face and use with any hockey helmet?

We built prototypes, created hundreds of CAD models, scrutinized dozens of 3D printed samples and manufactured several production runs before we were satisfied.

Simply put, we agonized on every detail so you can just play the game of hockey and go to work the next day with all your teeth and without stitches in your face.


Installation is Easy

● With your visor already installed, remove two screws from one side

● Slide RAMPART under your visor and lightly tighten both screws

● Repeat on opposite side

● Adjust visor alignment and tighten all four screws

● After first use, check all four screws

For Players 18 & Up

RAMPART must only be worn by players at least 18 years of age.

USA Hockey Rule 304 (c) states that players ages 18 and up must wear a HECC certified helmet with a chin strap. There is no requirement for a visor or any kind of face protection.

Like you, we love hockey, but we wore full face protection because we needed to be on a video call the morning after a late night game. Full face shields suck because they interfere with visibilty, and kind of hybrid we tried every model we tried fogged up.



Why is a software company making a hockey face shield?

RAMPART was envisioned, designed and defined by software. We perfected and tested with software in the virtual world so you can enjoy all the benefits in the real world.

We created a digital twin and modeled all forces of intrusion (like a puck or a stick) and impact. We modeled, tested and improved the design over and over again. Along the way we printed dozens of interative designs with 3D printing to view the design in our hands.

The question isn't why is a software company designing a hockey face shield, it's why doesn't everyone design sporting equipment this way?
